Must Read

Vikash Nuckcheddy, Prakash Ramchurrun and Subashnee Luchmun-Roy of the MSM held a press conference at the Sun Trust building in Port Louis on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The arrest of Rama Valayden and that of Harish Chundunsing have been variously commented.

According to them, the fight against drugs remains the priority of priorities. Vikash Nuckcheddy, Member of Parliament for Constituency No. 9 (Flacq/Bon Accueil), reminds us that it was the current government that had the courage to set up a commission of inquiry on drugs, unlike other political parties. Vikash Nuckcheddy appealed to the press to carry out his mission as a watchdog of democracy and not to play the games of people with a political agenda.

Majority MP Subashnee Luchmun-Roy returned to the issue of the arrests of lawyer Rama Valayden and former journalist Harish Chundunsingh. According to the MP for Port-Louis North/Montagne-Longue, under the pretext of freedom of expression, these two people have made serious allegations. She is of the opinion that democracy prevails in the country.

PPS Prakash Ramchurrun said that the MSM and development go hand in hand. During his speech, he spoke about the ongoing inactual projects to change the landscape and improve the quality of life of the people. The PPS has, from the outset, announced the start of the third phase of the road project to connect Flic-en-Flac to Pierrefonds.

The deputy of Savanne / Black River finds that the measures taken will give a new breath to the country. Moreover, he appeals to Mauritians to continue to support Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and the government as a whole in order to make the country prosper.
