A driver of Rose-Hill Transport was seriously injured on the evening of Tuesday, September 28, when the Mondial motorcycle he was driving collided head-on with an ambulance. This accident occurred on the Royal Road in Camp de Masque near the Bhoobun supermarket. The 45-year-old motorcyclist, who lives in Camp de Masque Pavé, was admitted to the Dr Bruno Cheong Hospital in Flacq.
It was around 9:50 p.m. that this accident occurred on the Royal Road in Camp de Masque. An ambulance attached to the hospital of Flacq which was driving in the direction of Flacq coming from Camp de Masque was hit by the motorcycle coming in the opposite direction. The driver of the two-wheeler would have skidded before this collision. Injured, he was immediately taken to the hospital in Flacq where he was admitted after receiving treatment. The 53 year old ambulance driver from Medine Camp de Masque was given a breathalyzer test which was negative.
The motorcycle and ambulance were damaged. An investigation has been opened at the Camp de Masque police station to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
