Mauritius did not return empty-handed at the final of Miss Environment International. And for good reason, Annejelly Boncoeur and Sandra Jolicoeur returned with two prizes. That of Best environment dress and that of Environment ambassador.
On February 11, Annejelly won the title of Miss Environment International Mauritius. A few weeks later, she is once again in the spotlight, this time during the final of Miss Environment International held on April 2 in India: “I am very happy to have won the prize for the best eco-friendly dress. Resulting from the recycling of underdrawers, it did not lack originality. This is what seduced the jury members,” explains Annejelly – 26 years old.
Sandra Jolicoeur, 20 years old, returned to her native Rodrigues with the Environment Ambassador prize: “I was awarded this prize for my project against pollution on the beaches of Rodrigues. The project consists of cleaning and sensitizing the population on the importance of keeping our beaches clean. But the most important thing is to find a way to generate employment through this initiative.
