The favourite Swagger Jagger made it two wins for Richard Oliver and trainer Patrick Merven. He had a rather difficult race on the outside and he was able to hit the front early in the final straight. Swagger Jagger had enough energy to fight against the two outsiders The Byzantine and St Vladimir who came back strongly to finish second and third not far from the winner.
