The LaunchTech 2.0 team won the 2023 edition of the MCB InovApp Challenge, held on June 17 and 18 at the MCB in St. Jean. The event was organized by the MCB, in collaboration with Huawei, Mauritius Africa Fintech Hub, Oracle, La Turbine, Veracitiz and SCC.
For 24 hours, mobile application development enthusiasts competed to bring to life innovative solutions that could transform the banking sector and bring about positive change for society as a whole.
The LaunchTech 2.0 team won first prize in the third edition of the MCB InovApp Challenge for its SME wallet project.
Designed to enable SMEs to manage their cash flow efficiently, the application features a user-friendly interface, details of income and expenditure, and intuitive graphics. The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 100,000 offered by MCB.
The second prize went to the Code killers team, who developed an application that provides users with details of the steps to be taken for various projects (building a house, planning a wedding, etc.). Code killers received a prize of Rs 50, 000 offered by Huawei.
The Debug Thugs team took third place with a platform that automates the traditional ‘sit’ system in Mauritius. Debug Thugs received a prize of Rs 25, 000 from Veracitiz.
