The 8th edition of the Mama Jaz festival will be held again this year throughout the month of April. Several concerts are thus planned for the greatest pleasure of lovers of this music.
The festival will begin this Sunday, April 2 at Creative Park in Beau-Plan with a sweet afternoon open air set. Festival-goers will be able to attend free concerts given by groups such as Philippe Thomas Trio, Kolektif Desvaux Bertin, Jyse Xp, Samuel Laval Quartet, Neshen Teeroovengadum Quartet. These sweet afternoon open air sets take place every Sunday from 3 p.m. until April 30, which coincides with World Jazz Day.
In addition, a series of major concerts will be held every Wednesday from April 5 to 26 at the Caudan Art Center from 8:00 p.m. Several groups from abroad will follow one another on stage with their musical, vocal and musical signature. Tickets are on sale at Rs 1000.
Internet users will also be entitled to Magic minutes which will be broadcast every day on the festival’s social networks.
