Must Read

The Director of Public Prosecutions has decided to reopen the judicial investigation into the death of Soopramanien Kistnen following the depositions of this Tuesday, July 27 in the court of Moka. The lawyer of Khomada Sawmynaden, wonders if it will be the same police team that will conduct the investigation? Roshi Badain said that the truth will come out the day the current government is no longer in power.

Mr. Rama Valayden promised some revelations during a press conference on Thursday, July 29.

Earlier in court in Moka, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) expert Asha Auckloo acknowledged the possibility that the victim, whose feet were bound, was already dead when his body was dumped in a cane field in Telfair and then burned. She also pointed out that traces of DNA could be recovered from a pair of scissors and a glove found near the body.

For her part, Dr. Sheila Jankee-Prasad, medical examiner, recognized that the pulmonary edema, which was the cause of death, could have been caused by strangulation.  The feet of the victim were bound, the doctor said. Adding that Soopramanien Kistnen was wearing several clothes at the neck.
