Released on 25 June, 3Me is the first album of Justice Lecoq. The opus looks promising when we know that the Mauritian artist signed a feat with the famous reggaeman, Kumar. In addition, his track ‘Soley pou leve’ will be the theme music for ‘Resort to Love’ – a film shot in Mauritius and produced by Alicia Keys for Netflix.
After tasting success with ‘The greatest romance’ – an Extended Play (EP) released in 2020, Justice returns this time with a debut album entitled 3Me. The album is also labelled Made in Moris.
For this 10-track album, the 20-year-old artist drew a lot of inspiration from youth and life: “I looked at the realities that young people go through to write part of the album. Life was my inspiration for the other part. “
The album also features the participation of several well-known artists such as Jason Heerah, Ziggy Prosper and a certain Kumar – a Jamaican reggae star: “Cross the border is a song that I perform with Kumar. It was a great experience! “
The track ‘Soley pou leve’, which is on the album, was also chosen to be the theme music for the end credits of the film Resort to Love, which will be released on Netflix in July: “Jason Heerah, my manager, suggested this track to the film’s producers. The track was finally selected among several submissions,” explains the artist.
As a reminder, the artist benefited from the support of Ichos Production, JHRecords and Vincent Calice for his first album.
