It’s the end of the 11th Indian Ocean Games. Mauritius finishes with 91 gold medals, for a total of 281 medals and 2nd overall at the 2023 Island Games. An exceptional record and some extraordinary victories.

The Minister of Sport, Stéphane Toussaint, who was in Madagascar for all the events, made this statement on the page. He thanked the members of the delegation, the athletes, trainers and others, as everything went so smoothly. For him, it’s an achievement because it’s Mauritius’s best performance outside the country…we’re back with 91 gold medals.
