Dancer and choreographer Jean Renat Anamah will participate in CréaFest 2022 with his piece Floting line. But before that, the artist will be on stage in London and Berlin.
He does not dance to live. He lives to dance. And it’s been 42 years. A key figure in contemporary dance Jean Renat Anamah will in a few weeks projects one more interesting than the other.
First, he will go to London with his partner Isabelle Chowree to present their joint piece entitled Tresspass: “It will be on the occasion of a symposium for the protection of the environment. We were selected among thousands of applicants and it gives us great pleasure to represent Mauritius.
The duo will be back in the spotlight in August at CréaFest this time: “Our piece The Floating line has been selected for CréaFest 2022. We are presenting a piece on an imposed theme that tells the story of a little fish that lives in A jar and wants to return to the ocean. Isabelle and I have chosen to set the scene in a very colorful environment. It will be a bit like a cartoon.”
In July, Jean Renat Anamah will present this time Emboided memory in collaboration with the Cuban Marvin Rodriguez: “It will be done in Berlin. Marvin and I have been working on this piece that highlights a quest for identity for six months. I’m really looking forward to bringing this piece to life on stage.”
