Inauguration Of The 30th Filling Station Of Indianoil (Mauritius) Ltd At Montagne Longue

IOML’s has inaugurated its 30th Filling Station, yesterday, at Motorway M3, Notre Dame Montagne Longue in a much-coveted ceremony.

The Chief Guest was Hon. Georges Pierre Lesjongard, minister of Energy and Public Utilities, who graced the event and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Sarad Kumar Baranwal, the Managing Director of IndianOil (Mauritius) Ltd. The ceremonial function was attended by eminent personalities, namely the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, H.E. Vimarsh Aryan, as well as MPs of the Government, Hon. Naveena Ramyad, Government Chief Whip, Hon. Subhasnee Luchmun Roy, Member of the National Assembly, Hon. Rajanah Dhaliah, PPS and Hon. Marie Joanne Sabrina Tour, Member of the National Assembly, Hon. Sharvanand Ramkaun, MP, along with Heads of PSUs and major business stakeholders.

The Managing Director welcomed all the dignitaries and highlighted IOML’s short but yet impactful journey since 2004 and reaching 30 filling stations in such a small span of time which speaks of dedication and efforts of team IOML and support of the Mauritius Government authorities as well as the affection shown by local Mauritian people.

IndianOil (Mauritius) Ltd has hereby underlined its firm objective to expand its retail network along with the company’s motto; Energising Mauritius.

He informed that though IOML was the last entrant in retail fuel business and hence at a disadvantage as compared to its competitors for strategic sites but now bridging this gap with the support of local people, who are offering good sites to Indian Oil. This Filling Station at Montain Longue is one step in such direction. This 30th new service station is situated on the Terre Rouge Verdun Link, Motorway M3, Notre Dame, Montagne Longue. The link road has gained major traffic movement over the years and the ease of traveling congestion free has made the road a normal choice for many road users.  IOML is proud to be having the 1st Filling Station on the left side while going from North toward Ebène. The Filling Station intends to operate up to late night and will simultaneously be operating a retail shop.

The Deputy High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, H.E. Vimarsh Aryan, in his address, highlighted the warm support extended by the Government of Mauritius in materialising the project and expressed his strong certainty about the success of the filling station and IOML in the near future.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Hon. Georges Pierre Lesjongard and thereafter, followed a symbolic first refuelling for the first customer.

A commemorative plaque was also unveiled on that occasion to immortalise the event and mark this auspicious day with full optimism and promise.
