Jean Christian Ravina, also known as “Moustik”, 43 years old and resident of Stateland, Batterie Cassée, Roche-Bois was arrested on Thursday morning, September 15, on a charge of drug trafficking. This after he was found in possession of a plastic bag containing three hundred and seventy-three grams of synthetic drugs and seventy-nine doses of heroin, weighing 10.40 grams. The value of these two drugs seized is estimated at Rs 1,865,000 and Rs 156,000 respectively, giving a total value of Rs 2,021,000.
It was during a raid carried out on Thursday, September 15, at around 10:30 am that these police officers of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (Adsu) Metropolitan led by Inspector Jean Claude Vally discovered drugs at the home of Christian Ravina. Ravina was suspected of being involved in drug trafficking. After hours of surveillance, the police decided to storm his home. The information turned out to be true.
Christian Ravina was taken to the Adsu office for questioning. He was subsequently placed in detention. This Friday morning, 16 September, he was presented before the court in Port-Louis. He is facing a provisional charge of drug trafficking for the purpose of distribution.
