This Sunday’s main race will be very open contest with no less than six of the nine standing a chance to win. Your Pace Or Mine will be the favorite, but have will have to be wary of Special Blend and Hubble.
All lights appear green for Your Pace Or Mine. He will not carry a very heavy handicap and he will start from draw number 1. Trained by Shirish Narang, he showed his good level of fitness during his gallops in training. He can try to win from start to finish. Your Pace Or Mine will have to perform at his best as he will face tougher opponents this time.
Hubble will be a hard nut to crack. He has been impressive in his last four outings when he won three times and he finished second in his last race. He won easily over 1600m last year and he can certainly do it again. He will have only one obstacle to overcome. It’s his bad lane at the start.
Special Blend has often placed itself in 2021, but it has never won in Mauritius. He changed trainer during the offseason and he can show us more this year. He will have the South African jockey Bernard Fayd’herbe in the saddle. He will finish strongly.
2021 Champion Coach Ricky Maingard will have two starters with Spring Man and Fools Gold. Spring Man will have a good chance with only 55 kg on his back.
The Dazzler is the best horse of the lot on paper. He will carry the top weight, but he will not have to be eliminated with his good draw at the start.
