The tourism sector is on the rise. Sunlife has announced that Sugar Beach has been named Mauritius Leading Beach Resort 2022 at the World Travel Awards 2022. This is the fourth consecutive year that the resort has won this prestigious award.
Sugar Beach is a five-star hotel on the west coast. As part of its new rebranding, Sugar Beach has also undergone a complete renovation. All rooms, suites, restaurants and public areas have been remodeled and updated, adding a distinguished touch of West Coast Mauritian glamour to the property.
The World Travel Awards 2022 ceremony was held on October 15 in Kenya. More than 400 people from the hotel and travel industry came to attend this international event. Graham Cooke, the founder of the World Travel Awards, said the event was truly memorable this year. Leaders in the travel and hospitality sector in the Indian Ocean region were recognized by the World Travel Awards as the industry marks its comeback. “Our winners have demonstrated their ability to meet the challenges after the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
The annual World Travel Awards recognize and honor the winners in each category elected as the best in their travel, tourism, and hospitality businesses, as the WTAs are considered the most prestigious awards in the global travel industry.
