Sanjeev Teeluckdharry, one of Akil Bissessur’s lawyers, said the prosecution is still not in agreement with the bail motion of the accused. He added that the proceedings would begin tomorrow. Rama Valayden, on the other hand, said the defence will initiate a parallel investigation with the police. He added that the services of two investigators will be sought for this purpose.
Debates on the presentation of another motion to release lawyer Akil Bissessur on parole will be heard tomorrow, 6 September. In the meantime, the lawyer, who appeared in Bambous court on Monday, is being returned to police custody.
