The Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC) launched on 4 April, in conjunction with the Russian Embassy, a Retrospective Week of Russian Cinema. 6 films will be played free of charge from 7 to 9 April in various cinemas at the MCiné.
The 2023 edition of this Russian film festival will be held from 7 to 9 April. The screenings all take place at 7pm in the cinemas of Mciné Trianon, Flacq and Port-Louis. In his speech, Vikram Jootun – the director of the MFDC underlined the importance of this festival: “Russia is known and appreciated for the quality of its cinema. This collaboration can only be beneficial for our country.”
