Announced on his Facebook page – Ramgoolam Gen-Next, hemodynamically, Dr. Ramgoolam is stable The PTr leader is still admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at AIIMS for closer monitoring of his progress. He is lucid and on the road to recovery. His blood and urine tests are pending, which will then lead to his discharge from the ICU and admission to the ward.
Dr Farhad Aumeer: “His condition is very stable”
As reported in the Sunday’s press, Dr Farhad Aumeer announced that Dr Ramgoolam is recovering and his condition is very stable. His doctors are satisfied with his recovery. And based on the progress made since his admission, Dr Ramgoolam will soon be back on his feet and returning to Mauritius.

Dr Navin Ramgoolam has been quoted in the press as saying that he is in very good hands and he is feeling better. He also revealed that he still did not know how he contracted the virus.
He had done a rapid test himself, which was negative. But the persistence of his cough and condition made him think of pneumonia. He went to the Darné Clinic for a consultation where the PCR test at the entrance was positive. He then went to Welkin Hospital for admission on that famous Friday 3rd September. It was his panel of doctors who advised him to take AIIMS.
Choice on Dhaneshwar Damry
He reveals that he did not consciously want to expose anyone, not even his wife, Veena Ramgoolam. But according to the requirements of AIIMS, there had to be a person for coordination between India and Mauritius in administrative matters. Dhaneshwar Damry was chosen as he knows India well. He also made it clear that his trip was only for the sake of his health and urged people not to politicize everything.
According to the progress made, Dr Ramgoolam will soon be discharged from the ICU but may remain in the ward for another two weeks. He made a point of thanking all those who are praying for him. The outpouring of sympathy from PTR supporters and the general public has been very touching for him.
