Denmark clinched their ticket to the Euro 2020 quarterfinals after beating Wales (4-0) on Saturday. The debates were balanced and only Gareth Bale’s attempts from a distance had the merit of bringing some excitement.
If the meeting was disputed in Amsterdam, it was enough to look at the stands to realize that the Johan Cruyff Arena was all won by the Danish clan. Firstly, because the Scandinavian supporters were more numerous, but also because the passage of Christian Eriksen – the Dane who collapsed on the lawn following a heart attack at the start of the Euro – to the Ajax left good memories there.
