Crystal – City Sport Urban Trail 2022 (2nd Round): Candos Hill As Highest Target

G-Trail, the urban trail specialist in Mauritius held a press conference at the Go Sport shop in Bagatelle on Tuesday 16 August 2022 in the presence of its main partners for the second round of the City Sport Urban Trail League, which will take place next Saturday in Phoenix.

A mark of confidence. G-Trail continues to satisfy its followers and is surrounded by partners who believe in its trail philosophy in Mauritius. Thus, Crystal, City Sport, GoSport, KFC and Haval have joined this second round of the Urban Trail League which will take place in Phoenix this Saturday 20 August at 3pm, on an 8km course.

PhoenixBev’s Crystal table water continues to be the main co-partner of this second round. Already present through the Crystal and Coca-Cola brands during the first round in Bagatelle, PhoenixBev has renewed its confidence in G-Trail for the pleasure of urban trail runners.  The company is hosting the “Race Village” in the Mauritius Glass Gallery in Phoenix in a family atmosphere.

Dominique Filleul, General Manager of City Sport Mauritius Ltd, expressed satisfaction with the organisation of this second round. “It is a pleasure to see the contribution of so many partners. The course is accessible to all and it is still possible to register for this race,” he said.

Haval, a new brand of premium and over-equipped vehicles marketed by the Leal Group, has also joined the event. “We believe in family and sporting values and we find them in this G-Trail event,” said Olivier Ferrière, Administration & Marketing Manager of the brand.

And to top it all off, G-Trail has the support of KFC. “KFC is very present on the local sports scene at the moment and we are very happy to sponsor this round of the trail,” said Irfaan Aullybux, KFC representative.

According to Xavier Verny, the director of G-Trail, this second round will bring together 300 participants. The course offers a variety of characteristics with the highest point being the hill of Candos.

The first three of the ten different categories will be rewarded and each participant will receive a race pack full of surprises. At the finish line, each participant will also receive a hot meal.
