Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez published a statement on Monday on social networks to announce the death of one of their two newborns. The couple was expecting twins, but their baby boy did not survive the delivery.
“It is with our greatest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. This is the greatest pain any parent can feel. Only the birth of our little girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and joy,” says the text posted on Cristiano Ronaldo’s Instagram account and that of his girlfriend.
Last October, Ronaldo had announced that Georgina was pregnant with twins. At 37 years old, he was already a father of 4 children, the first 3 of which were born through surrogacy. His current partner then gave birth to a baby girl in 2017.
