Courts Mammouth Continues Its Charitable Action

Must Read

In line with the efforts made by the company to support the most underprivileged, Courts Mammouth continues to respond to calls from NGOs requiring donations. The chain of household appliances and furniture preferred by Mauritians has thus quickly responded to a call for help from the association Elles C Nous, which promotes the integration of children from disadvantaged neighborhoods in the Beau-Bassin/Chebel region.

As Andrew Cohen, CEO of Courts Mammouth, explains, “Elles C Nous called Courts Mammouth to help them better equip the kitchen of their shelter, which was in need of refurbishment. At the association’s request, we offered them a set of kitchen utensils. It’s only natural for us to help out in these difficult times, and we are delighted to contribute to the well-being of the beneficiaries of this NGO. Women and children are the priority of our social actions, so this is very timely.

The work of Elles C Nous in its area of intervention consists of offering young people in need remedial classes, school materials, free meals, sports and leisure activities and educational outings. The zeal of the volunteers has already worked wonders with children in some neighborhoods.

“We can’t thank Courts Mammoth enough for this donation and the support given to our association, especially in these times of crisis. We are doing our best to help children create a better future for themselves. We hope to be able to count on Courts Mammouth in the long term so that we can work together for the future of these children,” says Milène Abdoolkader, founder and president of Elles C Nous.

In addition, Courts Mammoth recently helped the Global Rainbow Foundation, a charitable fund supporting people with disabilities, by donating a microwave oven and a fully equipped office for their administrative needs. The company also helped the Association Fraternité Nord Sud, which supports the most vulnerable people such as women, children and the elderly, through the donation of 5 fans. Courts Mammouth also offered a freezer to the NGO Bonheur Associé Aux Enfants, which supports the schooling of children whose parents have financial difficulties in the Beau-Vallon region. Finally, the company donated a refrigerator to Espitalier Noël Government School.

These donations are part of the many initiatives taken by Courts Mammoth since the beginning of the pandemic to support the most vulnerable populations.

Furthermore, the vaccination campaign of Courts Mammoth teams in Mauritius and Rodrigues against Covid-19 is almost completed. The people who have not yet received their vaccine are at risk people with health problems and pregnant women.

Sanitary measures continue to be scrupulously respected in all Mammoth Courts stores. “Over 85% of the team is currently vaccinated and the number of vaccinated is increasing daily, helping to create a safe environment for our team members, their families and our valued customers,” said Andrew Cohen of Courts Mammoth.
