Collendavelloo: The ML Will Do Nothing To Destabilise The Government

Must Read

Last night, at the Plaza, the MSM was holding a convention for constituency #19 and Ivan Collendavelloo was expected to speak. No surprise! Ivan Collendavelloo is in the government majority and he intends to stay there… until the next election, at least.

His party, “the ML, will do nothing to destabilise the government or the country”, he made it clear. At the MSM congress, he indicated that he would not resign over the anonymous letter targeting ‘a woman’. He subtly omitted to mention the name of Ameenah Gurib-Fakim. “I have nothing to do with a letter targeting a woman.  It is not Paul Berenger and Navin Ramgoolam who will tell me when to speak,” he said.

However, he was keen to reiterate that he does not agree with his dismissal. “The Prime Minister knows this. I have told him,” he stressed. Ivan Collendavelloo clarified. “I can disagree, but I respect the Prime Minister’s decision. Ivan Collendavelloo indicated that the Opposition MPs keep on “zet labou”, which in the end, everything is ‘fizet’.

Being in Paul Berenger’s constituency, the MSM leader, Pravind Jugnauth said, has taken Berenger as his main target. He believes that by associating with the PMSD, the MMM is “assassinating the memory of Azor Adelaide”. He reminds us of the Chateau Neuf Street episode. “Ban taper PMSD rod assassine Paul Bérenger, al gagn Azor”, he had to declare. Then he recalls how Bérenger and Ramgoolam had closed Parliament in 2014. “Li vin koze ki nou antidémocratique. Li pan deja renvoye eleksyon municipal en 2014. Ki complicite ti ena ant li ek Navin Ramgoolam kan zot ti ferm parleman pendant 9 mois.”

Pravind Junauth went back to Bérenger saying that the BAI was a Ponzi and he took money from them. Then of course, he did not fail to mention the association of Jean-Michel Giraud and the MMM. He also reacted to Paul Bérenger’s comments about postponing the municipal elections and the PM said that this was necessary because of Covid.
