The Chinese-Mauritian community is preparing to welcome the new year under the sign of the water rabbit. To mark this occasion, we met Mario Hung Wai Wing, the president of the Chinese Speaking Union who explains this celebration. He reminds us that the Chinese already go to the pagodas to pray and Sunday will be the day of the official prayer, it will be the worship of the ancestors, we will also pray for peace in the world in this year of the rabbit. The Chinese Speaking Union is organizing several cultural celebrations, but the traditional parade with the collaboration of the Ministry of Arts and the municipality of Port-Louis will take place on February 11.
