Located in Pamplemousses, the Centre Frère René Guillemin – CFRG, accompanies young people addicted to drugs. After listening to them, the center offers activities to get its beneficiaries out of this hell.
Unfortunately, more and more young people are using drugs. It is to help them that the CFRG was created as Livio Bien-Aimé, the person in charge of the establishment explains: “There has been a rejuvenation of drug users for some time. Today, more and more young people are falling into the trap of drugs. Our center mentors them to help them rebuild their lives.”
Operating at Montagne Longue Hospital and Brown Sequard, CFRG offers several activities to their beneficiaries free of charge: “In addition to listening and counseling to youth and their parents, the center holds activities such as art therapy and other creative disciplines to allow beneficiaries to express their emotions to better heal their troubled past.”
The CFRG also does awareness campaigns. The latest one took place on October 18 at the Salle Polyvalente St Ignace – Rose Hill: “For the occasion we had invited the students of the St Joseph Technical School to sensitize the youth on the dangers of misusing social networks especially on TikTok,”
