The duchess is isolating after testing positive for the virus just days after her husband caught it a second time. Camilla, 74, caught the virus for the first time just days after her husband the Prince of Wales caught it a second time.
A Clarence House spokesman said on Monday: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating.
“We continue to follow government guidelines.”
Both Charles and Camilla have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster shot. The previous evening, he and the Duchess of Cornwall met Chancellor Rishi Sunak and others at a reception in the British Museum.
Charles last met with his mother two days ago. The royal heir was at Windsor Castle, where the Queen is currently living, to hand out investiture honours on Tuesday. Prince Charles is now isolating after testing positive for coronavirus for the second time. He first tested positive for the viral disease at the onset of the pandemic in March 2020. Clarence House announced the news on the behalf of the royal heir early Thursday morning. A statement said, “This morning The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating. HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today’s events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.”
