Speaking of technology as a huge enabler in the lives of students, she urged that all prized artworks be digitalised and uploaded on online platforms. Digital gallery, she remarked, is becoming a popular reality and it is important that we remain connected and open wider portals for creative artworks to serve as a model for discovery and education purposes.
The VPM commended the students for successfully translating their vision and creativity in their art works while adding that this has helped to enhance their knowledge of cultures and traditions.
For her part, Mrs Thanacoody Soborun indicated that a total of 67 artworks are being displayed for this exhibition and includes diverse art techniques of 45 students. She lauded the quality and standard of works of students adding that they have displayed exemplary artistic skills and talents for the creation of their art works.
She also spoke of changes brought in the syllabus to address the needs of Mauritian students and further promote their skills in the field of Arts and Design.
