After twenty years of burning up the stage with the Komiko troupe, Alexandre Martin has opened his own events company. Martin’s Prod wants to be the new cultural platform of the country.
“It was necessary for Martin to take flight.” Pleasing from the outset Alexandre Martin that we no longer present. The actor ended up opening his own box last June: “The project had been in my head for some time. But I was still hesitating to take the plunge. I finally did it in June of this year by creating Martin’s Prod Ltd – an event management company.”
And for his first event, Alexandre is organizing a winter ball on August 14: “The event is planned in the Plaza party room in Rose-Hill. It will start at 4pm and end at 10pm. Artists such as Julien Verloppe, B.I.G. and Andy Janvier will perform on stage. Tickets are on sale at Rs 500 in Liquid stores in Curepipe, Rose-Hill and Port-Louis.
After this first event, the actor will tackle other projects: “I intend for example to hold theater workshops to share my experience with those who want to perform. There are lots of projects I’m working on right now.”
In addition, fans of the artist can rest assured, Alexandre has not closed the door of Komiko: “I am now freelancing with the Komiko. If they have any projects, they will definitely call on me and it will always be a pleasure to play with them.”
