Jayen Chellum, secretary general of ACIM, faced the press this Friday. According to him, it is “unacceptable that fuel prices have remained unchanged while on the world market they are falling.” He invites the population to participate in the demonstration of September 24 in the capital.
“A rally to demonstrate against the absence of a drop in fuel prices. This announcement was made by Jayen Chellum, Secretary General of the Consumers Association of Mauritius (ACIM), during a press conference on Friday, September 16. According to the latter, during the last three months, Mauritius received five shipments of petroleum products and the shipments were purchased at a lower price because fuel prices have fallen globally. It is with this in mind that the ACIM intends to demonstrate to demand a reduction in prices.
