Abhishek Bachchan is set for his big OTT return with the social comedy ‘Dasvi’.
On Wednesday, the actor dropped the trailer of his upcoming film that sees him in a raw and rustic Jaat avatar. The film tells the story of Ganga Ram Chaudhary, a school dropout who goes on to become a corrupt politician. It is only in jail that he finds a new purpose to complete his education.
With a determination to pass his 10th board exams, he pulls out all stops to achieve his goals, but not without some goof ups, roadblocks, drama and comedy along the way.
Joining him on-screen are Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. While Gautam plays a no-nonsense IPS officer, Nimrat is a delightful surprise as the feisty wife.

“Dasvi” has been garnering a lot of buzz since its announcement over a year ago.
Talking about the trailer, producer Dinesh Vijan says, “Dasvi is yet another attempt at providing a wholesome family watch that entertains and enlightens”.
On the performances of his lead stars, Dinesh adds, “Abhishek, Yami and Nimrat have knocked it out of the park. Audiences will fall in love with all three of them by the end.”
Director Tushar Jalota also shared his thoughts on the same and said, “Ever since we conceived Dasvi, it was clear we have a unique film in hand, one that tickles people’s funny bones and makes them realise there is magic in knowledge. I can’t wait for audiences to witness this special tale.”
‘Dasvi’ premieres on an OTT platform on 7 April 2022.
