A most daring robbery, which was committed against a couple living in Eau-Coulée where gold jewellery worth Rs 940,000 was taken, has been cracked in less than 24 hours. A joint operation by the Field Intelligence Office (FIO) and the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Curepipe led to the arrest of Louis Jordan Danilo Richardson, 22, of Cité Maherbes, Curepipe. Part of the stolen goods were recovered.
It was in the late afternoon of Monday 21 November that a 62 year old woman reported a case of theft from her home.
